For over 25 years, I’ve been a writer, creative leader, client whisperer, team builder, brand-truth-seeker, sci-fi reader, sports lover and weekend paddleboard paddler.
I’ve been lucky enough to have helped create and elevate some of the world’s biggest brands including Nike, Google, Dick's Sporting Goods, Budweiser, Kroger, the NFL, ESPN, Pure Leaf, Best Buy, Bose and more.
I believe great creativity should impact culture. Equally, I believe that culture is what fuels great creativity. That's why some of my favorite parts of the job have been building agency cultures around a shared love of taking big swings, the freedom to fail, respecting everyone’s voice, mentoring talent and a relentless group push for the kinds of creative ideas too original, too resonant, or too engaging be ignored.
All that has resulted in strings of high-profile new business wins and some pretty nice bling for the mantlepiece–multiple Cannes Lions, Effies, awards from the One Show, CA, D&AD, AICP, and CLIO’s. Other professional honors include the Kelly Award grand prize and the chance to wear Brett Favre’s Super Bowl ring for about 2 minutes on a shoot.
